On December 17, 2022, the Trade Union of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Women's Union of Tan Lac district organized a charity activity with the theme “the warm Tet for the Poor” at the People's Committee of Suoi Hoa commune, Tan Lac district.

This is a regular activity of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, which has been held continuously for the past three years in different communes in Tan Lac district, Hoa Binh province with the aim of joining hands to contribute a small part to help local people welcome Tet, spreading love to the community.

Each family received a new warm blanket

The program was organized with two main activities, including giving warm blankets to 243 poor households in the commune and organizing a “zero dong market” to share new or used household items, clothes, books, food, necessities, etc. to make it easier for disadvantaged people to access and receive goods according to the needs of individuals and households.

It can be said that this is a very meaningful activity of the agencies and the local people, which has brought an exciting and warm atmosphere, sent the kindness of the community to the poor, near-poor households, contribute to sharing and encouraging households to overcome difficulties in life.

The current area of Suoi Hoa commune was formerly two communes Ngoi Hoa and Trung Hoa. On December 17, 2019, the National Assembly Standing Committee issued Resolution No. 830/NQ-UBTVQH14 on the arrangement of district and commune administrative units in Hoa Binh province. Accordingly, merging the entire area and population of two communes Ngoi Hoa and Trung Hoa into Suoi Hoa commune. Up to now, Ngoi Hoa commune has an area of more than 71 km², a population of more than 4000 people, a population density of over 56 people/km². The people here live in the valley, along Hoa Binh Lake, the main economic activities are agriculture and fishing, there are many poor and near-poor households in the commune and need help to develop the economy.

At the volunteering meeting, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism expressed his thanks to the wish that the Trade Union of the General Department of Tourism will continue to coordinate with the locality to organize the program in the coming years.

At the end of the program, the Trade Union delegation of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism moved to visit and survey some tourist spots on Hoa Binh Lake tourist area before returning to Hanoi.
