On December 10, 2023, at Ap Plaza Hotel, Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province, Hoa Binh Provincial Tourism Association held the 3^rd Congress of Delegates of Hoa Binh Tourism Association, term of 2023 - 2028.

Regarding the Congress, the delegates of the Central Committee were Mr. Vu Tien Loc, Member of the 15^th National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam International Arbitration Center; Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Ms. Cao Thi Ngoc Lan, Standing Vice President of Vietnam Tourism Association; Leader of Unesco Hanoi Travel Club. On the side of Hoa Binh province, there were comrades: Bui Van Tinh, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Bui Duc Hinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Toan, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, Head of Provincial Tourism Steering Committee; the comrades were former leaders of the province; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Leaders of departments, branches, District Party Committees, City Party Committees, People's Committees of districts and cities; representatives of associations in the province; Tourism Association of 18 provinces and 150 official representatives representing members attended.

Delegates attending the meeting were able to view a summary report with a clip evaluating the Association's performance results for the 2015-2020 term, and by 2022, evaluating member development, cooperation, and investment tourist facilities and tourism products, etc. in order to attract tourists to Hoa Binh. The report stated that in the period of 2015-2019, the whole province welcomed over 13 million visitors, the average growth rate reached over 10% per year, the total revenue reached 14,146 billion. In 2022, due to the control of the Covid-19 epidemic, the number of tourists to Hoa Binh has increased again, the province has welcomed over 3 million visitors, 203% over the same period, the total revenue from tourists reached about 3,100 billion dong. In the new term, the Provincial Tourism Association determined to continue to improve the operation capacity of the Association's Executive Board in governance, strategic orientation for building and developing the association's organization. Mobilize resources to build a financial fund to ensure the operation and sustainable development of the Association, create favorable conditions for members to operate tourism service business in the province to develop, well perform the role of Public - Private cooperation; advise and promulgate mechanisms and policies to create favorable conditions for tourism organizations and enterprises to develop. Develop an appropriate program of activities for members to participate in.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the achievements of the Association and proposed the Provincial Tourism Association to unite and strictly implement the principles, purposes, functions, tasks and operating principles, build the Association to be stronger and comprehensive, perform well the role of representative, protect the legitimate rights and interests of the Association member. Coordinating with other departments and sectors to promote market development, promote and build human resources, tourism products, tours and tourist routes; effectively implement cooperation programs on tourism, especially the tourism development cooperation program in 8 provinces in the Northwest.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Tourism Association presented Certificates of Merit to eight collectives and 15 individuals and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented Certificates of Merit to three companies and five individuals of the Association with excellent achievements in the field of tourism. business activities in tourism services and actively participate in the Association's activities, contributing to the development of the business community in Hoa Binh province. The Hoa Binh Provincial Tourism Association has donated 50 million VND to the Children's Protection Fund of Hoa Binh province to help disadvantaged children in the province.
