On November 25, 2022, Cao Phong District People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 7th Cao Phong Orange Festival and Cao Phong District Trade Fair in 2022. This is an event to promote the image of Cao Phong orange products together with key local agricultural products and at the same time stimulate tourism demand in the last months of the year.

The preparations for the Orange Festival are well prepared and widely propagated to the people and visitors

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hoa Binh Provincial Party; Mr. Bui Duc Hinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Bui Van Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee together with representatives of departments, People's Committees of districts, businesses, and media agencies inside and outside the province.

The 7th Cao Phong Orange Festival and Cao Phong District Trade Fair this year will take place from November 25 to December 2. This year's festival and fair has more than 200 stalls, of which 70 stalls display and sell specialty tangerines, pomelos and oranges with full types such as: yellow flesh orange, Duong Canh orange, Xa Doai orange, and 120 general trade booths divided into areas of traditional craft villages, travel companies, food stalls and product introduction booths under the OCOP program of localities. In addition, there are cultural, artistic and sports activities imbued with culture, such as folk games, love singing, ecotourism visits and culinary experiences with ethnic dishes.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Cao Phong District People's Committee emphasized, Cao Phong Orange Festival is an opportunity to promote, protect and develop Cao Phong orange brand. These activities create opportunities for economic exchanges, trade promotion, investment attraction, seek regional links for agricultural products of the northern mountainous provinces, including citrus fruit trees of the province and Cao Phong orange products of the district.

In order to promote the strengths and potentials of Cao Phong district, over the past time, the district has synchronously implemented solutions, closely following the orientation of restructuring the agricultural sector in association with new rural construction. Particularly for the central region, the district's policy is to focus on developing crops of high economic value such as: oranges, tangerines, pomelos, sugarcane. Up to now, the whole district has over 1,740 ha of citrus fruit trees, of which about 1,357ha is oranges, the total output in 2022 is estimated at over 20,000 tons
