Implement Plan No. 31/KH-BCDDL dated February 17, 2023 of the Tourism Steering Committee of Hoa Binh province on tourism development in Hoa Binh province in 2023. In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports of Hoa Binh has organized a program to survey and evaluate tourism potential, choose to build new, unique tourism products and advertise, promote and communicate tourism for ethnic minority areas. and mountainous areas of Tan Lac, Mai Chau and Da Bac districts, Hoa Binh province.

Participated in the survey team were representatives of the Unesco Hanoi Travel Club, Vietnam Travel Association, businesses, travel agencies, tourism business units and a number of media agencies in the province. The survey team was divided into three phases:

In Tan Lac district, the survey team visited and experienced rafting on U Ta dam; Explore the provincial-level relics of the Trang (Moon) Falls landscape; Enjoy culinary specialties of Hoa Binh and cultural and artistic activities imbued with the identities of Northwest ethnic groups at Un'House (Nhan My commune). Explore and experience at Thung Waterfall (Quyet Chien commune). The group visited the community tourist site of Chien hamlet, surveyed the walking route of U Bo hill - Ao Mo - community tourist site of Chien hamlet (Van Son commune); The group surveyed the hiking and climbing routes to explore Nam Son Cave.

In Mai Chau district, the group focused on surveying tourist routes and destinations in Hang Kia commune, Cang village - Pa Co commune and visited the homestay business model of Mong ethnic people in 2 highland communes. In particular, the group discovered and experienced many new tourism products and services of the Mong people such as: rattan hunting spots, highland night markets, traditional craft of making do paper, beeswax painting, etc.

In Da Bac district, the group visited and surveyed a number of homestays at community tourism sites in Sung hamlet - Cao Son commune; Duc Phong hamlet (fomer name: Da Bia) - Tien Phong commune; Explore and experience a number of tourism products and services in two community tourism villages, such as: Sung cave, ancient tea hills, traditional crafts in Sung hamlet; Hiking to the top of Da Bia mountain, experiencing kayaking and rafting on Hoa Binh lake, etc. Also during the survey, the group visited and experienced resort services at Mai Da Lodge tourist destination - Tien commune. 

At the conference to evaluate and share the results of the survey program at each point, associations, businesses, and travel agencies highly appreciated the tourism potential of Hoa Binh province. At the same time, the delegation gave some useful comments to help Hoa Binh province build new, unique products to serve tourists and develop tourism in a sustainable way, attracting more visitors such as: Pay attention to choosing and building new, unique tourism products and advertising, promoting, and communicating with domestic and foreign tourists; Need to invest in service quality at homestays; Trekking routes need to take into account reasonable factors, etc. Representatives of businesses also pledged to pay attention to choosing the development of tourism products, expanding sales programs for customers and strengthening the introduction and promotion of tourism products. The province's tourism is loved by domestic and international tourists.
