For a long time, Hoa Binh Lake Tourist Area has been known to tourists for its poetic and majestic natural scenery, aquatic systems, rocky islands, rich and interesting caves, but perhaps the outstanding destination on the tourist area. The history of Hoa Binh Lake must include the Bo Temple.

Legend has it that, in the spring of 1431, King Le Loi brought his army to defeat the enemy in Muong Le (Son La) through the treacherous Bo waterfall and was enthusiastically helped by local people, including two women: Mrs. Dinh Thi. Van (Muong) and a woman of Dao ethnic group actively helped the king with military supplies and means of boats to cross the falls. When the two women died, King Le Loi posthumously granted a decree for the establishment of a temple. The main festival of the Temple is on the 7th day of the first lunar month. Every year when every spring comes, tourists from all over the country come here to worship and enjoy the majestic mountains and rivers, here are a few pictures of Bo Temple during the festival season:

Bo Temple is currently in the top of the famous spiritual tourist destinations of Hoa Binh. Every year, the temple not only welcomes pilgrims to ask for God's blessings, but also welcomes over 100,000 tourists to visit, admire the scenery and enjoy the fresh air. To get to the temple, worshipers or tourists have to go two ways, after the road is the river route with three main routes: from Thung Nai tourist port, Thung Nai commune (Cao Phong) is the port closest to the temple with three main routes, travel time by boat is about 15 minutes; from Bich Ha port, Hoa Binh commune (Hoa Binh city) to the temple with a time of about one and a half hours; and it takes about 45 minutes from Binh Thanh commune (Cao Phong) to the temple.

From Bo temple, visitors can visit the large and beautiful Thac Bo cave, only about 10 minutes by boat from the temple. In addition, guests can also connect to Mai Chau, Son La by waterway to explore the beautiful scenery of the vast Hoa Binh Lake area.
