On April 4, 2023, Mr. Nguyen Van Toan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development, together with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Standing Agency went to check the situation of tourism development in Luong Son district. Welcoming and working with the delegation were Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Luong Son District People's Committee, Head of the District Tourism Steering Committee and leaders of some functional departments in the district.

The delegation surveyed the business situation at Luong Son Retreat, Luong Son district

The delegation went to survey and grasp the situation of tourism activities at a number of tourist facilities such as: Ivory Resort in Lam Son Commune, Sunset-Sunvilla Resort in Tan Vinh Commune, Luong Son Retreat and the La Saveur Resort in Nhuan Trach commune. During the survey, the delegation listened to the reports of the tourism service business with the advantages and disadvantages that the units are having to deal with; Especially, some units still face difficulties in power grid that cannot meet the requirements at the time of crowded tourists.

In recent times, Luong Son district has attracted many investment projects in urban housing, eco-tourism, etc. Currently, there are 98 tourist accommodation establishments, including nine hotels (There are two 3-star hotels and the rest are 2-star and 1-star hotels) and 89 motels. In 2022, Luong Son district welcomes over 100,000 arrivals, an increase of 28% compared to 2021. Of which, international visitors are 47 thousand, up 31%; domestic tourists 53 thousand turns, up 25%. Total revenue from tourists reached 175 billion VND.

After the survey, the head of the Provincial Tourism Steering Committee noted the results of tourism development in Luong Son district and encouraged businesses to focus on investing in tourism technical facilities and suggested that Luong Son district focus on propaganda and promotion of tourism products and services; renovate and embellish historical and cultural relics, preserve natural landscapes, protect the environment, ensure national defense and security; promote national cultural identity in tourism development; strive to develop Luong Son tourism into an attractive destination of the province and the Northwest region. He directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to coordinate with the People's Committee of Luong Son district and businesses to organize a Hoa Binh tourism stimulus program 2023 in Luong Son district to introduce and attract tourists to Hoa Binh province in general and Luong Son district in particular in the coming time.
