Tien Pagoda Festival is a cultural and folk belief activity of the nation that is restored and maintained annually. The festival aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, meet the needs of cultural and religious life of the people; contribute to promoting the spirit of great solidarity of ethnic groups, promoting and introducing national cultural heritage, promoting tourism development of the locality and Hoa Binh province; at the same time, educating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, raising people's awareness in preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the ethnic groups of Hoa Binh province.

In 2025, the Opening Ceremony of Tien Pagoda Festival will be held from January 31 to February 2, 2025 (ie January 3-5 of the lunar calendar). Opening on February 1, 2024 (ie January 4 of the lunar calendar). Information about the main contents of the Festival is as follows:

* January 31, 2025 (January 3 of the year of snake)

Opening Ceremony

- Content: Offering incense, performing rituals (Inviting Buddhist dignitaries to perform the ritual; preparing offerings). Time and place: From 3:00 p.m. on January 31, 2025 (January 3 of the lunar calendar) at Tien Pagoda

* February 1, 2025 (January 4 of the year of snake)

1. Opening program:

Morning from 7:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

+ Procession of the Three Saints' Palanquin from Trinh Temple; Procession of the Holy Mother's Palanquin from Mau Temple; Procession of the Palanquin of the deity worshiped in the Communal House from Trung Communal House to Tien Pagoda.

+ Welcoming delegates and offering ceremonies.

- From 8:30 a.m.: The opening program of the Festival includes:

+ Welcoming delegates and offering ceremonies;

+ Art program;

+ Organizing and introducing delegates;

+ Opening speech of Tien Pagoda Festival, Lac Thuy district, 2025;

+ Drum beating to open the Tien Pagoda Festival, Lac Thuy district, 2025;

+ Speech by the Provincial Buddhist Association;

+ Delegates offer incense at Tien Pagoda; visit historical sites and spring fairs;

+ Activities of lion and dragon dances, stilt walking, bamboo dance, Muong gong ensemble (integrated in the reception of delegates).

2. Activities of the Festival.

- Organizing folk games including: Walking on stilts, jumping rope, swinging, throwing shuttlecocks, bamboo dance, etc.

+ Location: Tien Pagoda Yard

+ Organizing unit: Center for Culture, Sports and Communications presides over and coordinates with relevant sectors to implement.

- Men's Volleyball Tournament

+ Participating units: 10 communes and towns

+ Time: Opening at 9:30 a.m. on February 1, 2025 (ie January 4 of the lunar calendar)

+ Location: Tien Pagoda Area

- Folk art exchange program

+ Content: Performance of traditional musical instruments, performance of Muong gong art, folk dance and singing, Chau Van, etc.

 + Participating units: Invite the Muong Ethnic Cultural Identity Preservation Club of Ba Hang Doi town, Hung Thi, Phu Thanh, Phu Nghia, etc. excellent artisans Nguyen Manh Tuan, Tran Manh Hung.

- Organize a spring fair (expected 20 booths)

+ Content: Display of agricultural products, food, handicrafts, ocop products, culture, cuisine, etc.

+ Participating units: People's Committees of communes and towns in the district, Agricultural Service Center, Women's Union, Farmers' Association, small traders; cooperatives, etc.

+ Time: Display from 2:00 p.m. on January 31, 2025 to 5:00 p.m. on February 2, 2025.

+ Location: At Chua Tien market
