Implementing the project to build highland communes in Tan Lac district to become provincial-level tourist areas by 2030, vision to 2050, the district orients to develop cultural tourism community culture associated with the traditional cultural identity of the Muong ethnic group such as supporting and encouraging the restoration and development of traditional crafts, traditional costumes, and national cuisine; diversifying the nation's cultural and artistic forms, folk games, folk songs, folk dance, and folk music of the Muong ethnic people. In recent years, the district has paid attention to developing tourism infrastructure such as: Provincial road 440 connecting national highway 6 (at Cho Lo intersection) with highland communes; Lac Son highland inter-district road to Tan Lac; Road 312A connects highland communes of Tan Lac district with Mai Chau district and Ba Thuoc district (Thanh Hoa); Upgrade and concretize inter-commune and inter-village roads.

To promote tourism development, especially homestay community tourism, the Party Committee and authorities of the three highland communes of Tan Lac have oriented people, especially households with the ability to do community tourism and create conditions for households to access the Bank's capital to build and renovate housing estates and restore traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic groups in the area. The commune mobilizes the community to clean village roads and alleys to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape and environment. Along with that, coordinate with neighboring localities to create attractive tours and tourist routes to attract more and more tourists to the locality.

According to the leaders of the District People's Committee, Tan Lac aims to strive to basically complete 50% of the conditions to recognize the district's highland communes as provincial-level tourist areas by 2025; welcomed 50 thousand tourists (about 5,000 international visitors); Social revenue from tourism reached about 30 billion VND; Average income per capita reaches 40 - 45 million VND/person/year. By 2030, 100% of conditions will be completed and recognized as a provincial-level tourist area; welcomed 115 thousand tourists (about 15 thousand international visitors); Social revenue from tourism is about 100 billion VND. And tourism will become a key economic sector of the district, contributing to economic restructuring, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and creating many jobs for people. At the same time, through tourism activities, it contributes to preserving and promoting national cultural identity, meeting the discovery needs of tourists.
