From Mai Chau town, traveling about 30 km along Highway number 6 towards Son La, visitors will come to the community tourism villages of the Mong people in Hang Kia and Pa Co communes. Cha Day village, Pa Co commune is located at an altitude of 1,140m above sea level. The people here mainly live on agriculture; some households do homestay tourism. Visitors will have the opportunity to participate in the night market held on Saturday evenings, and Pa Co market held every Sunday morning. From Pa Co, visitors travel about six km more to reach Hang Kia community tourism village, Hang Kia commune. The village has a cool climate all year round.
