As part of the activities of the "Northwest Tourism and Culture Week Expansion", from April 8^th to April 12^th , 2023, at Ninh Kieu Pier, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hoa Binh province participated in exhibiting booths to introduce the local cultural tourism products. Hoa Binh was joined by eight other Northwest provinces including Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Ha Giang, and Can Tho city.

This is an important event in the program of expanding tourism cooperation among the eight Northwest provinces, aiming to promote, advertise tourism and expand the market. It is also the first time that the eight provinces have cooperated together in Can Tho. With a well-designed and impressive exhibition space, Hoa Binh's booth displayed tourist services, typical traditional culture OCOP products (OCOP means One Commune One Product), introduced and advertised locations, destinations, tourism programs, and the unique cultural and tourism images of Hoa Binh, especially Hoa Binh Lake National Tourism Area; the potential advantages of natural landscapes and images of people, unique cultural features; policies, investment opportunities in the tourism sector for investors, tourism businesses, and a large number of domestic and international tourists attending the event. These rich diverse cultural and tourism products attracted a large number of visitors at the exhibited booths.

According to the plan, in 2023, Hoa Binh aims to welcome 3.5 million tourists with a total revenue of 3,900 billion VND. The exhibition to introduce and promote cultural tourism products has contributed to improving the quality of image promotion, tourism destinations, strengths of cuisine and customs with typical specialties of the provinces. This event provides an opportunity for tourists to understand more about Hoa Binh's tourist destinations in particular as well as the Northwest region in general, promoting cooperation and links in building and developing tourism products to serve tourists between Hoa Binh and other provinces and cities.
