The Hoa Binh culture was officially recognized by the world on January 30, 1932 at the proposal of the French archaeologist Madeleine Colani after it was approved by the French School of Asian Studies’s Prehistoryists meeting in Ha Noi. This is a "hyphen" between the Old Stone Age and the Neolithic age about 15,000 to over 20,000 years ago today, it is widely distributed throughout the vast space of Southeast Asia, South China but boldly especially in the Northern region of Vietnam. In Vietnam, over 130 sites of Hoa Binh Culture have been found, of which 82 sites have been discovered and studied in Hoa Binh province.

This exhibition has nearly 1,000 artifacts, 100 photos of documents and 200 books and magazines on Hoa Binh Culture, divided into four parts, including: French archaeologist Madelein Colani - who discovered and placed name for "Hoa Binh Culture"; Distribution and characteristics of residents of Hoa Binh Culture in the world; Development stages of Hoa Binh Culture; Stone Age culture on Hoa Binh land.

Through the exhibition at the provincial museum this time, it will help people, especially teenagers and tourists better understand, have a deeper look at the Hoa Binh Culture discovered in Hoa Binh province. As planned, this thematic gallery will be widely open to serve visitors from now until the end of 2023.
